Quite a few questions have come up regarding the dynamic erg review posts on the blog. As I continue to work with all of my equipment I am convinced that if you can swing it the Rowperfect Indoor Sculler is the best option out there. It is pretty much all I use anymore. It has taken me a little over a year to come to this conclusion. It may not be for everyone however so here is my attempt at an algorithm to sort things out. Sorry it is kind of hard to read. Old guys like me might have to zoom in on the screen a little bit.
Thank you for the January erg review-so helpful. But where in the USA can you buy a Rowperfect? Durham Boat no longer carries them and the RP web site doesn't list any US sources, Durham is pushing the Coffey SimulatOar---does anyone have experience with that unit? Jay jfrjr@roadrunner.com
ReplyDeleteJay: I didn't realize that Durham Boat no longer carried the RP3. I purchased my indoor sculler from Rowperfect Canada. I have no experience with the Coffey unit. You might want to post a query over on rowingillustrated.com Those folks might know something.
